Despite a positive start, Willis was shown a straight red card inside twenty minutes. The home side took advantage shortly after half time, as Keshi Anderson scored twice in a nine-minute spell as the Cobblers' early second half pressure told.
The forward completed his hat-trick fifteen minutes from time, scoring from close range to send City to defeat at Sixfields.
