The City boss is confident that teenage forward Charles Vernam will play a part in the final third of the season...
Derby loanee Vernam sustained an unfortunate injury in Sky Blues training last week, and looked to have caused enough damage to rule him out for the season.
But after a series of scans and medical examinations, there may be hope for the young striker yet, as the manager confirmed to the Coventry Observer.
He said: “He popped his shoulder. Initially it looked as though he might need to have an operation which could have kept him out for anything between eight to 12 weeks, but we’re now looking at more like three which is good news.
“He’s a striker who’s had to drop into midfield on his debut but he will be a big boost for us when he returns.”
