The Sky Blues will be joined by Coventry City Girls FC for Saturday’s fixture against Millwall.

The partnership between Coventry City Girls FC, Coventry City and Sky Blues in the Community was officially launched in September 2015, and has seen the organisations work closely together on a number of initiatives.

Saturday will see that continue, as Coventry City Girls are welcomed to the Ricoh Arena for a bucket collection prior to the game to help raise money for the CCGFC’s chosen charity the Breast Cancer Campaign – on what is World Cancer Day.

Coventry City Girls are an FA charter standard club who were founded in 1995 and now have expanded to eight teams ranging from Under-10 to Under-18 who play in the Coventry & Warwickshire league, and also a first-team who play in the West Midlands League. Next year, the club will increase to ten teams with a new Under 9 side bearing the Coventry City Girls FC name.

Players and parents from Coventry City Girls FC will be outside the Ricoh Arena from 1:30pm up until kick-off and all donations are welcome.
