Coventry City U23s defender Darragh Leahy played in all three Republic of Ireland U19 fixtures during the National Team tournament in La Manga, Spain.The young Irish charges kicked off their fixtures with a 2-1 defeat against Norway, but responded in superb fashion with a 1-0 victory against Portugal, courtesy of a stunning Ronan Hale strike.
Tom Mohan's side ended the competition with a 3-1 defeat against Slovakia, with Leahy playing the full 90 minutes. After being reduced to ten men in the 36th minute, the defender headed home a second-half free-kick, but it wasn't enough as they fell to eventual defeat.
