INJURY NEWS: Four first-teamers in contention to return for the Sky Blues as they prepare to host Swindon Town

24 February 2017

Charles Vernam has returned to the West Midlands, and is back in full training...

The City boss is hopeful that the squad will be given a boost this week, with the return to fitness of skipper Jordan Willis, and frontman Stuart Beavon.

Teenage midfielder Ben Stevenson is continuing to make progress, while Lee Burge - who was forced off at half-time last weekend - will undergo a fitness test ahead of tomorrow's tie.

Russell Slade said: "Chris Stokes has had three or four sessions now, long way off though.

"Beavon has had a light session yesterday, we’ll see how he goes today.

"Lee Burge has followed protocol, which you have to do after suffering a concussion, and is on course. Little set-back yesterday but we’re hopeful.

"Ben Stevenson has resumed normal training, but not played for a good while, so in terms of sharpness he needs a bit more time.

"Jordan Willis will train today, he did his running yesterday. But has not joined fully in training yet."
