DISABLED FANS: Following queries, the club would like to clarify the buying process for disabled supporters

23 February 2017

Following queries from a number of people, the club would like to clarify the buying process for supporters who are disabled/ambulant disabled...

Similar to other clubs in both the Premier League and EFL, the club are unable to process disabled tickets online.

This is because proof of disability is required and ticketing systems are unable to process the complimentary carers tickets which accompany the disabled/ambulant disabled supporter.

With reference to Wembley ticket sales, we encouraged all fans who are not disabled/ambulant disabled to purchase their tickets online or via the call centre, where possible.

On Monday morning, a higher than expected number of non-disabled/ambulant disabled supporters came to the Ticket Office to buy in person. This consequently had an impact upon disabled/ambulant disabled supporters, for whom this was the only avenue to purchase.

Once we were able to, a separate room with seating and queue was set up specifically for disabled/ambulant disabled supporters to use.

We would like to apologise to supporters who were inconvenienced by the process, and the club intends to review this in line with best industry practise and examples/advice from the EFL, FA and other football clubs.
