NEWS: Callum Maycock Agrees Contract Extension

The Midfielder has put pen to paper on a new deal with the Sky Blues...

We are delighted to confirm that midfielder Callum Maycock has agreed a contract extension at Coventry City, until June 2020.

The 19 year-old broke into the side last season following his impressive progress with the under-18s through 2014 to 2016.

Maycock joined the Sky Blues back in May 2014 as an apprentice and has risen through the ranks at the club, signing his first professional deal back in 2016.

Since then, Callum has gone on to make his debut for City, when he came off the bench in the FA Cup First Round clash away at Morecambe last season.

The midfielder has gone on to make 12 appearances, as he continues his development through the under-23s and by looking to break into the starting eleven.

Upon the agreement of Callum’s contract extension, Sky Blues Manager, Mark Robins had this to say:

He said: “I’m really happy for Callum, he’s done very well this season and we wanted to reward him for his efforts and his hard work having got himself into the side a few times already.

“Now the hard work needs to continue for him this season and over the course of the next few years as carries on with his development with us.”

Maycock will now continue with his preparations alongside his team mates for Friday night’s League Two clash with Wycombe Wanderers, as City look to close the gap on the top three.
