Coventry City have confirmed the signing of Tony Andreu on a two-year deal from Championship side Norwich City...

The 29-year old becomes Mark Robins' twelfth new signing of the summer and is eligable to make his debut against Grimsby Town this weekend.

"I'm very happy, very delighted to be joining such a big club and I'm looking forward to being a part of it." Andreu said.

"I think the manager wanted me to show and express myself at this football club and to add something to the team. That's what I needed and I think it is a great thing for me to come here and try to help the team get promotion.

"I really enjoyed my time up in Scotland, obviously it is a different league but everything went well there. Any club and league is different but hopefully I will enjoy it here as well.

The forward-thinking Andreu hit thirteen goals whilst on loan at Dundee United last season, adding to the twenty-five he scored for Hamilton Academical in a previous spell North of the border.

"I like to think of myself as an attacking midfielder, I try to score goals and go forward to help the team. If I have to and I can I'll work hard on the defensive side of the game as well.

"As an attacking player you always want to score, that is your way of helping the team pick up positive results. There is more to football though, whether that be retaining the ball or creating for your teammates,"

He added: "My hope is that we're going to get promoted this season, I came here to have a successful season. Coventry City need to be up there and there is no question about that."
