George Thomas has agreed to sign with Leicester City Football Club after the expiry of his contract in June 2017...
After it became clear George wanted to move on, we have reluctantly accepted the offer from Leicester City after a protracted period of negotiating a revised contract with George.
The 20-year old Academy graduate has been with the club since the age of nine and scored his first Coventry City goal in the Checkatrade Trophy Group Stage tie against Wycombe Wanderers, before hitting the winning goal in the Final at Wembley Stadium.
Manager Mark Robins said: "We are disappointed George has come to this decision. He is a fantastic lad and everyone associated with Coventry City wish him all the very best.
"Hopefully our paths can cross again at some point in the future."
