The Sky Blues began the League Two season with a 3-0 win over Notts County on Saturday.
Winger Jodi Jones scored a hat-trick in a strong team performance at the Ricoh Arena, watched by a crowd of over 10,000.
There were seven players making their first City starts, while Michael Doyle started on his return to the club and captained the side.
Jones' treble was only the third Sky Blues hat-trick at the Ricoh Arena - following in the goalscoring footsteps of Freddie Eastwood and Jacob Murphy - while it was the first on the opening day since Dion Dublin versus Chelsea in 1997 at Highfield Road.
