GALLERY: All the action from last night's Carabao Cup defeat against Blackburn Rovers

9 August 2017

The Sky Blues exited the Carabao Cup after defeat against Blackburn Rovers, managed by former boss Tony Mowbray, last night...

Corry Evans put the visiting side into a first-half lead after angling a superb dipping volley into the far corner giving 'keeper Liam O'Brien little chance, before City responded six minutes later.

Duckens Nazon, on his first start since signing on-loan last week, scored his first Sky Blues goal finishing calmy after full-back Jack Grimmer's effort was parried into his path.

However, Blackburn confirmed the win with strikes from Richie Smallwood and Dominic Samuel, both of which took deflections before going past O'Brien.

The Sky Blues return to League Two action this Saturday as they make the trip to face Grimsby Town.
