SBitC continue their extensive work in the Coventry and Warwickshire area...

Sky Blues in the Community welcomed two of their projects to our Good Friday fixture against Charlton Athletic.

Prior to the game, some of our Walking Footballers played on the pitch at the Ricoh Arena.

Walking Football is a slow-paced version of the beautiful game for over 50s. It is designed to help people have an active lifestyle regardless of their age and ability, as well as get people back playing football and is a great way to keep fit, learn skills, have fun and socialise all at the same time.

SBITC run three sessions per week in Bedworth and Coventry – you can see more details HERE

Also, some of the players from the SBITC Professional Development Centre (PDC) paraded the pitch pre-match and had a tour of the stadium.

Over 500 players from Under 6s to Under 16s take part in the PDC programme each week. The programme offers advanced football coaching with a technical and tactical focus for children of all footballing abilities and experiences.

The programme also includes specialist coaching, and the opportunity for fixtures locally and against other EFL clubs.

You can see more about the in-depth programme HERE

This is alongside the other matchday activities of Sky Blues in the Community, including providing and supervising ballboys, group packages and delivering our matchday mascot experience.
