PRESS WATCH: "Talking about creators who can score goals; Jodi is one of the most talented individuals we have got.” - Tony Mowbray

The Sky Blues Manager has been speaking to the Coventry Telegraph ahead of the trip to South London on Saturday...

The Sky Blues squad has been given a lift by the return to fitness of 18-year old Jodi Jones, having been sidelined for the past two weeks with a groin problem.

The forward has made six first team appearances this season, two in cup competitions, having featured most from the substitutes bench.

The City boss has emphasised the need to protect his younger players and give them time to develop physically at their own pace: “Jodi is back in training,” Tony Mowbray has confirmed.

“We really took him out of the game on Saturday to give him some strengthening time, ten days to get right because we can’t continue with Jodi coming off every game because he’s feeling his groin.

“We have to continue to work on his strengthening so he’s not playing one game and missing the next or playing half a game.”
