The City boss has been talking to the Coventry Telegraph ahead of Saturday, and has confirmed that Chris McCann has returned to pitch based training...

The Sky Blues have been given a boost to the fitness of their squad as they approach the weekend’s home tie with Oldham Athletic.

City are set to host the Latics at the Ricoh Arena and midfielder Chris McCann could be available, while Lewis Page has recovered from a dead leg sustained against Millwall.

Marcus Tudgay, who missed last Saturday’s trip to south London through illness, will also be available for selection.

Tony Mowbray said: “Chris McCann has trained with the physios and we’ll see how he reacts and how he is on Thursday and Friday and make a call on the back of that. Marcus is also back in full training.

“Lewis had a dead leg, he took a knee right in the side of his hip and it was very sore, but there is no problem now and he’s OK.” Talking about the fitness of forward Jodi Jones, the manager added: “He has trained fully and is fine."
