INJURY NEWS: “Andy Rose is getting closer by the minute, he has got his boots on.” - Coventry City’s Tony Mowbray

16 September 2016

Jodi Jones had had a full week of training ahead of the Latics clash tomorrow...

The Sky Blues manager has confirmed that Andy Rose has returned to grass based training, but is still a few weeks away from competitive football.

A decision will be made on the fitness of Sam Ricketts and Chris McCann ahead of the fixture tomorrow, while 18-year old forward Jodi Jones has had a full week of training in the run up to Oldham.

Lewis Page has also recovered from a dead leg sustained last weekend, which forced him off the pitch early against Millwall.

The City boss said: “Andy Rose is getting closer by the minute, he has got his boots on and is kicking balls. Stokes is pushing on but a bit behind Rose.

“Ricketts and McCann we have to wait for, we’ll make a decision on Saturday morning.

“Jodi has trained all week, he went through a spell last week where he was purely fitness building. He needed some rest and then a strengthening period, he is a delicate age and still growing.”
