Coventry City legend Brian Hill has passed away at the age of 75...
A young Brian Hill - standing at 16 years and 273 days in age - etched himself in to football's history books during his time at Coventry City, becoming the youngest goalscorer and debutant during the final match of the 1957/58 Division Three South campaign against Gillingham.Despite losing 3-2 on that occasion, Hill still holds the record of youngest ever City starter and goalscorer, with Gary McSheffrey and Jonson Clarke-Harris failing to find the net on their professional debuts at a younger age.
The arrival of Brian's namesake, Jimmy, rejuvenated Hill's playing career - going on to become one of the most renowned defenders in Sky Blue history.
Brian spent a total of 14 years with the Sky Blues, amassing over 240 appearances and registering seven goals during that period.
