The popular 50/50 Raffle will return to the Ricoh for tonight's Checkatrade Trophy fixture...
Coventry City Football Club is re-launching the very popular 50/50 Raffle at tonight’s match against Northampton Town.
The 50/50 Raffle will see 50% of net proceeds going to the clubs Academy and the other 50% going to one lucky winner. Following a successful trial at the AFC Wimbledon match, we will be operating it again for the remainder of the season.
Every ticket bought for the 50/50 Raffle contributes towards the raising of funds for our Academy, and your generosity on a match day can help nurture the next star through the ranks at the Sky Blues.
The Academy has been crucial to the fledgling careers of the likes of Cian Harries, Ben Stevenson, Gael Bigirimana and Jordan Willis, who have developed to become key to the first-team squad this season and are all likely to feature during tonight’s game.
Net proceeds from the raffle also sees one lucky fan win 50% - so why not purchase a ticket with the hope of not only winning the jackpot, but also helping develop our next generation of players.
The 50/50 Raffle has been modernised using technology and software from 50/50 Central and sees the introduction of handheld smart devices and individual ticket printers used by 50/50 ambassadors around the ground - including corporate lounges - to ensure a simple yet effective way of selling tickets and initiate an end to the old-fashioned raffle booklets.
The ‘live pot’ that will be won by one lucky fan will be displayed on dedicated TV screens around the Ricoh Arena. The winning ticket will be announced shortly after the second-half commences, and the winner will receive their prize money within one week of claiming their winning ticket.
The winning number from the AFC Wimbledon match was A-582389. The winner can claim their prize by contacting the commercial department on 02476 992 330.
Technical DirectorMark Venus said: “The ethos at this football club has always been geared towards developing young local talent and this season is no different. The emergence of Cian and Ben for example are examples of why initiatives like this are so important.
“It is fantastic news that the 50/50 raffle is back as it not only gives something back to the supporters, but it continues and even accelerates the progress of the club's youth system.”
