Four Coventry City players will represent the club as the SBITC ambassadors...

The community team are pleased to announce the first team player ambassadors for our work for the forthcoming 2016/17 season.

Every year, the community department nominates four players as ambassadors to support and advocate the main themes of our work. Every week Sky Blues in the Community deliver close to 200 activities and sessions over seven days a week, covering age ranges from toddlers through to older people, across these four strategic themes.

This year the ambassadors are Samuel Rickets (education), Chris Stokes (health), Jordan Willis (inclusion) and Gael Bigirimana (sport). During the course of the season the ambassadors (as well as all first team players) will visit a number of community activities under their nominated theme.

Club captain Samuel Ricketts said “I am delighted to be named as the education ambassador for Sky Blues in the Community. All of the players know that we have a responsibility to act as role models and we have a great set of players here that fully understand that responsibility and are happy to get involved.”
