Coventry City will welcome charity collectors from Coventry Guide Dogs at this Saturday’s home fixture against MK Dons.

As part of the Godiva Puppy Appeal they are running, they are going to name their next sponsored puppy 'Jimmy' after the Coventry City legend Jimmy Hill.

'Jimmy' will be placed with a puppy walker locally, and in time, potentially form a guide dog partnership in the area as well, which will reduce the current waiting list for guide dogs in Coventry.

Guide Dogs are totally funded by voluntary donations, and receive no Government or Lottery funding. There are currently 180,000 blind or partially sighted people in the UK who rarely leave home alone and every hour another person goes blind. Guide dogs transform the lives of people with sight loss, giving them freedom and independence

Collectors will be around the ground pre-match on Saturday, but donations can also be made HERE or you can also donate via text:

Text ‘JIMY57’ to 70070 followed by the amount you wish to donate, eg: JIMY57 £5
