INJURY NEWS: “No major disruptions from Saturday so the squad are looking good.” - Coventry City’s Mark Venus

The Sky Blues prepare to face Morecambe in FA Cup competition, with a tie against Cambridge or Dover awaiting in R2...

City’s interim boss has confirmed that his side came through Saturday fairly unscathed, despite having to accept a narrow 1-0 defeat.

Gael Bigirimana has now served his one match suspension and will be available for selection, having missed out on the original Morecambe tie last weekend.

Lewis Page and Dan Agyei remain ineligible, while Jamie Sterry and Andre Wright both have permission to play from their parent clubs.

Vladimir Gadzhev returned to the bench against Scunthorpe, having overcome a knee injury.

Venus said: “I think we’re okay, we’re carrying a few knocks. No major disruptions from Saturday so the squad are looking good.

“We may be a bit stretched but I’d rather have the games and still be in the competition.

“It gives everybody a chance to be selected and I have to believe in the whole squad to come in and perform at any given point.”
