The Sky Blues will be boosted by the addition of Newcastle United loanee Jamie Sterry when they travel to Morecambe on Sunday.
City will have to cope without suspended midfielder Gael Bigirimana, while loanee pairing Dan Agyei and Lewis Page are ineligible.
Mark Venus said: “Jamie Sterry is allowed to play, he’s been given permission by Newcastle which I am grateful for. Both Gadzhev and McCann are injured.
“We’ll also be missing Lewis Page and Dan Agyei who aren’t eligible, and Gael Bigirimana is suspended.
“It’s a chance for some of the rest of our squad to stake a claim in a team who are doing well at the moment.”
