John Fleck scoops a double of the awards at Coventry City's End of Season Awards dinner...

Sky Blues midfielder John Fleck has rounded off a fantastic season for City by winning the double accolade of Player of the Year and Players’ Player at the End of Season Awards dinner.

The Player of the Year award was voted for by the Sky Blue fans and the Players' Player awarded by the City squad for the 2015/16 campaign.

Fleck has made 42 appearances this season, scoring four goals - including a Goal of the Season contender for the 30-yard screamer against Millwall in April.

Fleck was also named in the SkyBet League One top 15 most rated players for 2016, which is based on votes submitted by the respective managers of all League One teams.

The 24-year old had this to say in the aftermath of picking up the two awards: “The Players’ Player stands out from a personal point of view, training and playing with these lads every week and for them to give you that kind of recognition is great.

“First half of the season was quite incredible the way we played and the second half has been disappointing, it’s a season of two halves really. We need to try and take the positives out of it.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here, this season has probably been the best during my time. I picked Romain Vincelot as my Player of the Season, we’ve created a decent partnership. I’m disappointed for Arma not to have received it, but really pleased for myself.

“This season certainly gives you hope, there has been an incredible difference this year. The Gaffer has come in and done a great job.”
