"We’ve had a few players training with us for a week or two, we might add some permanent signings." - Coventry City’s Tony Mowbray

Tony Mowbray has revealed he will be dipping in to the U21s squad as well as adding new signings to bolster his squad ahead of the Posh tie...

Coventry City’s manager Tony Mowbray has revealed he will be looking to add to his side before the loan window shuts at 5pm this evening.

The Sky Blues Under-21s were particularly impressive in their 4-0 triumph over Bristol City midweek and a few members of the squad caught the eye of the onlooking City manager, who also made the trip to Ashton Gate.

City will be missing forward pairing Adam Armstrong and James Maddison, as well as defender Jack Stephens and Mowbray has indicated that he is set to sign a couple of players as potential cover.

Mowbray said: "We are going to have to add 3/4 of the younger players to the squad because of the numbers."

“We have a few new lads training with us. Ones for the future possibly.

“Another one who is a bit more experienced, who might be able to help us moving forward. Foreign players take a little while longer to adapt to English football, potentially end of this season.

“I don't think a Premier League loan is the right way to go at this time in the season.”
