The Sky Blues boss has also stressed he will stick by his players, even through a loss of form ahead of Dale clash...

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has admitted there will be changes to the side for the game against Rochdale.

The Sky Blues face the Dale at the Ricoh Arena this Saturday, with kick-off at 3pm, as they look to get back to winnings way following the Barnsley defeat.

City have had a number of squad members return to contention in the past weeks with defenders Aaron Martin and Martin Lorentzson available for selection, and Joe Cole was rested in midweek.

As the season goes into the final two months of the season, Mowbray admitted there needs to be changes to the side at this stage of the season.

The City boss said: "I think there will be a few changes, you always have to look at that option and look at using your squad.

"We've got a lot of players at a certain age who find it difficult at times to play three games in one week and we've come into a really busy part of the season.

"We've also got a lot of young players who can be inconsistent which is part of their development and might need leaving out at times. It is all about finding that balance.

"There aren't many clubs who can pick the same team game after game. We're always looking for the right formula to win the game and the opposition might dictate your team selection to a degree as well.

"If there are changes, they won't be enforced due to poor performance. I've always been a coach who supports his players through a loss of form as it's important you try and pick them up and keep them going as that will benefit the club in the long run."
