REWIND: Colchester United 1-3 Coventry City - A Jacob Murphy double inspired a Sky Blues comeback

27 March 2016

Coventry City's Jacob Murphy claimed a brace against ex-club Colchester United in November's League One encounter...

Ahead of the Colchester United visit to the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday evening, we revisit November's trip to the Colchester Community Stadium.

It was Jacob Murphy who stole the show in the reverse fixture, as he scored twice against former club Colchester.

The Sky Blues were forced to come from behind when the U's Macauley Bonne guided in Callum Harriott's low cross.

Murphy's effort on the turn brought City level in the 32nd minute before the ex-Colchester loanee then rounded keeper Jamie Jones to put the Sky Blues ahead at the break.

Marc-Antoine Fortune sealed City's victory not long after half-time, tapping in with his left boot.
