PRESS WATCH: “I’m hoping it all drops in to place and if we get one it could have a snowball effect” - Coventry City’s Tony Mowbray

17 June 2016

Tony Mowbray has been speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, as the Sky Blues go in pursuit of their first summer signing...

The Sky Blues boss has emphasised that the recruitment drive at Coventry City is fully underway, whilst emphasising the club must remain cautious in negotiations.

First Team Manager, Tony Mowbray and Technical Director Mark Venus have insisted that the club have specific player targets, but need to be patient in their approach as they look to secure City's first signature of the summer.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Mowbray said: “It’s a question of waiting. I said to Veno yesterday that we have to be patient as there are plenty of irons in the fire that we’re just waiting on.

“I’m hoping it all drops in and I understand that if we get one it could have a snowball effect. If people see we have signed a couple of players, and good players, they’ll be thinking we have got a chance.

“They understand Coventry is a club that has ambitions to get out of this division and if we can we’ll be a pretty big club.”
