The club say goodbye to John Bloxham after he passes away aged 70...
John was a lifelong Coventry City fan and had supported the Sky Blues in a number of different club roles, which combined, spanned over two decades.
Schoolmates with Bobby Gould, John was a part of the club in an informal capacity during Gould’s second spell as City manager in the 1980s. John's Coventry City legacy officially began as an Academy Coach in May 1997, with the club in the Premiership and under the management of Gordon Strachan.
He progressed to a Welfare and Education Officer for the Coventry City FC Academy in 1999, supporting all age groups of the Sky Blues youth system. Most recently, John has been involved in the administration of the football club, and during the 2015/16 season hosted in the matchday boardroom.
John was extremely well respected among past and previous staff and players alike, and his presence will be sorely missed by all facets of the football club. Coventry City FC would like to extend condolences to the family and friends of John at this very sad time.
