City entered their preseason friendly fixture schedule in traditional fashion, with an away trip to non-league neighbours Nuneaton Town at Liberty Way on Saturday.As history would suggest, the Warwickshire side were tough opposition and could have taken the lead on a number of occasions had it not been for smart goalkeeping from Lee Burge.
Ruben Lameiras broke the deadlock for the Sky Blues, finding the top corner of the net on the 39th minute, while Devon Kelly-Evans doubled the lead six minutes later.
The home side pulled a goal back in the second-half but City's dominance was too much for the National League North outfit, with the score finishing 2-1.
