PRESS WATCH: "Some we’re getting positive answers from and some negative." - Coventry City's Tony Mowbray

The City boss hopes to add to his squad ahead of the end of the transfer window on Monday at 11pm...

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has told the Coventry Telegraph that the club are working hard to bring new players in.

The Sky Blues are currently preparing to face Scunthorpe United at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, as City look to bounce back from two consecutive defeats.

The transfer window closes on Monday at 11pm and City are still looking to add to their squad for the rest of the 2015/16 campaign.

Mowbray admitted he is waiting on deals to fall into place annd says City are speaking to clubs about players.

The City boss told the Coventry Telegraph: "We're working hard, even today as we speak we’re asking clubs about players we have identified footballers from.

“Some we’re getting positive answers from and some negative. It doesn’t always fall into place, of course.

"You can ask a few clubs about certain players and one down your list will say, ‘yes, you can do that,’ and yet you don’t want to jump on that deal because you prefer someone else and they are stuttering a little bit.

“And then it’s a case of how long do you wait for that one to give you a definitive answer."
