REWIND: Fleetwood Town 0 - 2 Coventry City - City snatch a late victory at Highbury Stadium

25 February 2016

The Sky Blue's will be hoping to repeat the scoreline registered in last year's encounter as they host Fleetwood Town in the weekend's League One clash...

City scored two late goals at play-off hopefuls Fleetwood Town in 2014/15 to ease fears of relegation to League Two.

Ahead of the Fleetwood Town's visit to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, we revisited last season's vital win at Highbury Stadium.

On-loan Reading striker Dominic Samuel got the breakthrough in the 88th minute, cutting in from the left to slot the ball beneath Fleetwood keeper, Chris Maxwell.

Frank Nouble then sealed victory in the fifth minute of stoppage time. The goal was gifted to City when Maxwell was slow in reacting to an underhit backpass, allowing Nouble to charge down the loose ball and - with help from the goalpost - scramble the ball over the line.

City's second successive victory under then-new manager Tony Mowbray, moved the Sky Blues three points clear of the League One drop zone.
