PRESS WATCH: New signing Darius Henderson hopes to be on the right side of the scoresheet for Tony Mowbray in coming weeks

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Darius Henderson reveals that he has ‘caused havoc’ against sides that the Sky Blues boss has managed in the past...

The 6ft 4’ striker signed for City in early February and made his first City appearance in the League One encounter with Port Vale the following weekend, which ended 1-1.

Henderson, who was bought in to add aerial threat and presence in the opposition box, saw a close range header clawed off the line in the dying minutes against Vale.

The ex-Watford and Nottingham Forest man spoke to the Coventry Telegraph in the aftermath of his debut: “It’s unfortunate it never went in but looking back at the game I think a draw was a fair result.”

Henderson, who has scored four goals against sides under the management of Mowbray, is hoping he can register a few goals in favour of the Sky Blues boss as City continue their promotion push.

“Its funny because I have always seemed to do well against Coventry and the gaffer’s sides.

“Hopefully I can play a big part here and I will certainly give it my all,” Henderson added.
