BBC Midlands Today will broadcast live from the Jimmy Hill celebration event at Coventry Cathedral this evening.
Many of football’s sporting greats will unite to celebrate the orchestrator of the ‘Sky Blue Revolution’.
The programme will air live on BBC1 from 6.30pm and will be presented by Mary Rhodes who has been to meet with Jimmy’s widow, Bryony Hill and his son, Jamie.
The feature will include memories from Jimmy Hill’s time at Coventry City, including one of his first signings for the club, Dietmar Bruck and Coventry club barber, Paul Todd.
The service will feature iconic names from Jimmy's career as a manager, broadcaster and TV personality.
