INJURY NEWS: "He’s the type of player we’d love to have back in the group.” - Coventry City's Russell Slade

29 December 2016

City boss Russell Slade confirms that defender Chris Stokes is training with the squad...

The Sky Blues manager has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Peterborough United on New Years Eve.

Defensive pairing Lewis Page and Jordan Willis have picked up minor knocks, but don't look to be a doubt for the Posh fixture.

Slade said: “Nothing major, one or two niggles - which you get at this time of year. Pagey had a slight strain so we’ve left him out today.

“Jordan Willis as well, we’re just monitoring those with minor injuries. I don’t see any concerns for Saturday.

“Chris Stokes has been out on the grass today. I’ve spoken to the physio at length about Chris, it seems to be getting more positive. He’s the type of player we’d love to have back in the group.”
