INJURY NEWS: “Marvin is on the grass at the moment, kicking balls, running and sprinting” - Coventry City’s Tony Mowbray

The Sky Blues boss gives an injury update ahead of the Bantams clash tomorrow...

The City manager has confirmed that forward Marvin Sordell is back in training ahead of the Bradford City fixture, but might not be ready to play competitively yet.

The 25-year old has returned to the grass after suffering a knock on the opening day of the season but the manager has suggested he’ll be monitoring Sordell’s progress before risking him against Bradford.

Andy Rose, having been forced off the pitch after a half-hour played against Bury, will be undergoing a scan on his knee to assess the extent of the damage.

Mowbray said: “Sordell and Rose are probably on the injured list. Marvin is a lot closer than Andy is, we’re waiting for some swelling to go down before Andy has a scan on his knee.

“Marvin is on the grass at the moment, kicking balls, running and sprinting. But this might come a little bit too soon for him.”
