City embark upon their third competitive fixture in the past seven days, after playing 120-minutes against Pompey midweek...
The Sky Blues face Shrewsbury Town in tomorrow’s first League One game of the new season to be staged at the Ricoh Arena.
The City boss has given an update on the squad’s fitness, with Marvin Sordell taking a minor knock against Swindon last weekend.
“We’re okay I think. Got one or two injuries but no more than anyone else. It will be a similar sort of squad to the last game.
“I think everyone at this stage of the season, people are carrying knocks. It’s almost like an extension of pre-season. There will be some strains, knocks and niggles.
“You have to put up with that and hopefully we’ll get through the next few weeks unscathed. There will be some opportunities for some younger players and new signings along the way.
“Marvin took a slight knock in the first-half at Swindon. Adrenalin got him through the half but I think we’ll be monitoring him over the next day or so to see whether to include him.”
