City confirm the loan deal of US striker Jack McBean from MLS franchise LA Galaxy subject to international clearance...
The 6ft 1” forward first signed with LA Galaxy in 2011 and has been playing his most recent football in the Galaxy’s reserve side LA Galaxy II.
Overall in MLS competition, McBean has made 19 appearances with two goals and two assists. A California native, McBean has represented the USA at U17 and U18 level and has joined the Sky Blues on a loan agreement until mid-January ’17.
The 21-year old netted on his debut for City’s U21s, where he’ll continue to develop his fitness under new coach Nicky Eaden.
Coventry City Manager, Tony Mowbray said: “Jack is a young player with potential who is over here to develop and try to progress his career.
“He’s played all of his football in the US leagues and will need a certain amount of time to adapt to the physical demands of the English game.
“Jack will spend some time with Nicky Eaden in the U21s side to work on his match fitness and we’ll continue to monitor his progress in line with the needs of the first-team.”
