NEWS: Coventry City's Joe Cole pays a visit to SBitC football courses over the Easter break

12 April 2016

Joe Cole was the main attraction during Easter holiday camps as the Coventry City forward payed a visit to Sky Blue youngsters...

Over 400 children attended Sky Blues in the Community holiday courses across Coventry and Warwickshire over the Easter break.

City’s charity arm also ran free turn-up-and-play multi-sport activities for children aged 5-18, running in 14 areas of Coventry and Warwickshire – funded through BBC Children in Need.

Alongside that, our Player Development Centres (ages 8-16) had a programme of fixtures against Walsall, Northampton Town, Wycombe Wanderers and MK Dons development schemes.

The busy Easter period also saw Coventry City’s star man, ex-England international Joe Cole attend one of the most popular courses. Cole was on hand to take pictures with the dozens of City fans, and sign autographs for Coventry’s next batch of fledgling footballers.

All activities will also be running in Whitsun half-term at the end of May, visit the SBitC website for more details.
