Coventry City's Adam Armstrong has won the club's August Goal of the Month award, in association with NSL Automotive!
This month's contest was a high standard, but the 18-year old's striker's first goal against Millwall received a massive 43% of the vote to secure the prize, with Jacob Murphy's stunning effort at Walsall its closest competitor, notching 32% of the voting. Jim O'Brien's winner against Crewe came third, but with only 11% of the overall vote.
Armstrong was delighted to win the award and admitted that the strike at the Den was one of the best goals he has ever scored.
"I'm really pleased to have won the award," Armstrong said.
"It's one of the best goals I've ever scored so I'm really proud of it. Hopefully there are more to come!"
