The Frenchman netted a great finish and believes the result could impact the team across the season...

Coventry City midfielder Romain Vincelot believes today's 3-2 comeback win over Peterborough United could have a massive impact on the entire season.

The Sky Blues found themselves 2-0 down at the Ricoh Arena, but Vincelot's bicycle kick helped City get back in the game. Adam Armstrong then netted two late goals to send the home fans into delirium and secure a 3-2 win.

Vincelot, who scored his third of the season, believes that the special nature of the victory is something that can help City throughout the season and can be a mental boost should the side find themselves in a similar situation.

"This kind of feeling is one that will stay inside the team," the Frenchman said.

"If it happens further along the season where we're behind in the second-half, we can have this situation in the back of the heads, that we can comeback and can score goals.

"At half-time we thought we have to give it our all and have no regrets, give it a right go and use the anger of a poor first-half to get us back in it.

"The fans were right behind us and it was a great feeling, it's proof that what we are doing is working and shows the belief we have to overcome many situations.

"When we got the goal, I think they were a bit like us against Swindon, caught in two minds whether to go for a third of keep it tight.

"But the team is delighted with the win and it's a memorable victory."

Vincelot's strike was a wonderful finish, where he got onto the end of John Fleck's effort that hit the post and swivelled to fire in a bicycle kick.

It was an impressive strike and the midfielder was pleased to score a goal in a crucial three-points.

He continued: "This time my goal is one that contributes to three points. It's one to rememeber and special that we got the win which is all that matters.

"As soon as Flecky shot I was thinking rebounds, because there were one or two that the keeper parried. My body somehow was in a weird position and it went in!

"When you push like that you need to get something otherwise you get caught on the break. But we're all delighted with the win."
