MATCH REPORT: Huddersfield Town 6-1 Coventry City - Under-18s side beaten away to strong Terriers

A full Under-18s squad well beaten by strong Terriers side...

Coventry City Under-21s were beaten 6-1 by Huddersfield Town at the Terriers' training ground.

The Sky Blues took a full Under-18s side to play the fixture with a busy schedule ahead, with the first-team travelling to Rochdale tomorrow night and the Birmingham Senior Cup game against Stratford Town on Wednesday, followed by games on Saturday for the 18s and first-team once again.

The young City side almost went into the break level but conceded two goals on the stroke of the half-time as the home side dominated the game. Regan Booty and Jake Charles netted those two goals before Ronan Coughlan added a third on 54 minutes.

City found a way back into the game just after the 70 minute mark when the home defence couldn't clear a cross and the ball was deflected in for an own goal.

But late strikes from Sondre Tronstrad, Charles' second and Rekeil Pyke ensured it was a tough day for the Sky Blues' Under-18 squad.
