HEAD-TO-HEAD: Coventry City prepare to face Yeovil Town for just the fifth time ever

6 October 2015

The Sky Blues have won one, drawn two and lost one of their four all-time meetings with the Glovers...

Coventry City go into their fifth ever meeting against Yeovil Town with an identical head-to-head record with the Glovers.

Two of the three meetings between the two sides came in the 2011/12 season. At Huish Park, Town took a point against City in a 1-1 draw, where Cody McDonald opened the scoring for the Sky Blues before Martin Hinds' equaliser.

In the return fixture that year, Yeovil won 1-0 with Paddy Madden netting the only goal. The game was the last in charge for then manager Mark Robins, who then departed for Huddersfield Town.

The last time the two teams played one another was last season,  when goals from Reda Johnson and Simeon Jackson secured a 2-1 win at the Ricoh Arena. The last game was a 0-0 draw, where Gary Madine missed a penalty at Huish Park.

That was largely forgettable game, lets hope for a more memorable one which see's City progress in the JPT!
