Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray remarked that the club’s latest signings, Ben Turner and Gael Bigirimana, could make their debuts against Gillingham on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Mowbray also added that Cole is likely to sit out the match against the Gills at the weekend, as he builds his match fitness to its maximum potential.
"The plan with Joe is to make sure he plays every game," Mowbray said.
"We want to build up his resistance. He will probably not play this weekend, as we want to get him on the grass everyday, and get him in the gym, to get his body to a position where he can play week in week out.
"Ben is ready to play if we want him to and Gael could also be involved."
