The 22-year old returns to the Sky Blues until January and adds valuable option in midfield...
Coventry City have signed Newcastle United midfielder Gael Bigirimana on a emergency loan deal until January 3rd.
The Sky Blues have snapped up the 22-year old to add depth to the midfield as the former City Academy graduate returns to the club.
Bigirimana began his career at the club's Academy and signed his first professional deal with the club in June 2011, making his professional debut on the opening day of the 2011/12 season against Leicester City.
'Bigi' impressed during the 2011/12 campaign, making 26 league appearances and Premier League side Newcastle United signed him for an undisclosed fee in July 2012.
He has since made 13 appearances for the Magpies, scoring one goal and has also spent time on loan with Scottish Championship side Rangers.
City boss Tony Mowbray said: "I'm looking forward to working with Gael and I'm sure he'll add a valuable option to our midfield.
"We're coming into a busy period in the season so it is important we don't get caught short with injuries and suspensions, and Gael will help us with that.
"A lot of people at the club have only had good things to say about Gael and I'm sure he is looking forward to coming back and making a positive impression on us."
