Coventry City FC are deeply saddened to learn of the death of former goalkeeper Marton Fulop

Fulop impressed during his time on loan with the Sky Blues and the club's thoughts are with Marton's family...

Coventry City Football Club are deeply saddened to learn of the death of former goalkeeper Marton Fulop.

The Hungerian international moved to the Sky Blues on loan in October 2005 and became first-choice goalkeeper during his time with the club, making 31 league appearances for City.

Fulop went on to have a fantastic career at the top level with spells at Sunderland, Manchester City and Leicester City.

City boss Tony Mowbray said: "Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time and we're all deeply saddened by the news.

"To hear that anyone has lost their lives so young is always extremely sad and I've always been aware of the brilliant career Marton had."
