Coventry City take on Northampton in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday, we take a look at three players who have played for both sides.
Roy O’Donovan
O’Donovan signed a three-year contract with Coventry in June 2010, five years after leaving the Sky Blues as a youth product. After injury problems and limited first team appearances he left in January 2013.
He made 17 appearances for City during his time here.
He signed for Northampton in January 2013, signing a two-year contract in July 2013. He played in the 3-0 play-off final defeat to Bradford City at Wembley. He made a promising start to his Cobblers’ career scoring goals for fun but injuries once again caused him problems. He left in February 2014 to join Singapore;s Brunei DPMM.
Nathan Cameron
Cameron made his Football league debut in the Championship against Portsmouth on August 7TH 2010, after graduating from City’s academy.
City later released him in April 2013. He made 11 senior appearances during his time with the club.
He made the move to Sixfields in March 2013, joining the club on loan until the end of that campaign. He made a total of six appearances during his time at the club.
Clive Platt
Platt joined City in July 2010 from Colchester United. He scored seven goals in 67 appearances in total during his two-year stay at the club.
After leaving City, Platt joined the Cobblers in May 2012, re-joining former manager Aidy Boothroyd. He later left the club in January 2014, having scored six goals in 47 appearances.
