The Sky Blues striker has set himself a target of ten league goals and is confident of surpassing that initial target...
Coventry City striker Frank Nouble told the Coventry Telegraph that he is confident of beating his goals target for the season in the remaining nine League One games.
The 23-year old has set himself a target of ten league goals, but after his strike against Fleetwood on Tuesday night, he now finds himself on six league goals for the season.
Nouble is confident that he can get get those four goals to meet his target and is enjoying his current role on the left of the front three.
He said: “I’ve got four goals to go to hit my league target and hopefully I can set a new target before the season is out. We’ll see what happens. But I’m confident and think I’m going to score in every game now, even when I’m playing wide.
“The manager wants us to play a bit more cat and mouse rather than get too far back like wingers, so the opposition have to think about us more, which is good.
“For my goal at Fleetwood, there was a terrible back-pass by them and I just gambled and got lucky.
“I thought it was going in and then last minute I thought, ‘oh my gosh,’ because it took a heavy kick off the post and the keeper was coming back, but I think luck has come back to me lately.”
