HEAD TO HEAD - Coventry have now eight times out of 21 meetings against Doncaster Rovers

The Sky Blues hold the slight edge against Rovers in the all time head to head records, but Donny can tie the scores tomorrow…

Coventry City take on Doncaster Rovers today in a SkyBet League One clash and the all-time head to head record could not be any closer.

City have the slight edge, winning eight times compared to Rovers' seven. There have been six draws between the two teams, the last of which was all the way back in October 2011, which resulted in a 1-1 draw in the Championship.

There have only been two 0-0 draws between the two sides and they occurred all the way back in 1948 at Belle Vue and in 2009, which was only Rovers' second ever season in the second tier in the modern era.

By far the biggest result between the two sides was in 1926, when Doncaster ran rampant and hit eight past Coventry in an 8-1 home victory in the old Division Three North.

Prior to the Boxing Day clash this season City have had a remarkable record against the Yorkshire opponents, losing only one in ten, a record which stretched across five seasons in the late 00's.

City are unbeaten in four of the last six home games and will be keen to stretch that record tomorrow on 'Retro Day'.
