Marshall may line up against City tomorrow and is one of three men we have featured to have connections with both clubs ahead of tomorrow's game…

Coventry City take on Port Vale in a SkyBet League One clash tomorrow at the Ricoh Arena and over the years a number of men have had connections with both clubs.

In this article we pick out three people, including one who has managed one club and played for another…

Mark Marshall

Marshall was with the Sky Blues last year and joined the club after a two-year absence from the game. The 27-year-old played 14 times for City but moved to Port Vale in the summer.

The midfielder is now a key part of Vale's first-team and has made 37 appearances so far, scoring six goals.

Peter Clarke

The former England Under-21 footballer is currently playing for Blackpool in the Championship and has had a varied career around England.

He started off at Everton and played against the likes of Arsenal. He went on loan first to Port Vale, making 13 appearances and scoring once. He then had a spell at City, playing five times at the start of 2004.

Micky Adams

The former City player and manager has had two spells at Port Vale, first managing them between 2009 and 2010 before returning for a second spell between 2011 and 2014.

Adams is remembered at City for guiding them to just outside the Championship Play-Offs when he took charge between 2005 and 2007.
