Coventry City Football Club’s kit will feature one of the world’s most famous sporting brands next season – and for the next four years – after a major deal was struck.

The first team playing kits will carry the Nike logo – as will the replica kits available for supporters to buy – after the club agreed a four-year deal with Just Sport Group, a UK-based distributor for Nike.

Steve Waggott, chief executive of Coventry City Football Club, said: “The Nike swoosh is an iconic logo which is known the world over and I think this will be a very popular move among supporters.

“We are absolutely delighted to complete this deal and I know everyone is really looking forward to seeing the new kit design, which will be revealed very soon.

“This is a really exciting new partnership and we look forward to working with Just Sport Group over the next four years.

“We are grateful for all of the support we have had from Puma – our current supplier – but we felt the time was right to move in a different direction.”

As part of the deal, the club’s retail store will be run in partnership with the new kit suppliers.

Michael Heslop, of Just Sport Group, said: “We are delighted to agree this new deal with Coventry City Football Club.

“They remain a big name in English football and we believe this partnership will benefit both parties. It’s an exciting addition to the list of clubs we work with across the UK and will, we are sure, improve the retail side of Coventry City’s business to the full benefit of supporters.

“We also look forward to launching a brand new online store to make it as easy as possible for supporters to purchase their Coventry City merchandise direct to their door”.
