Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has thanked supporters for the faith they are showing after the club surpassed 2,000 Season Ticket sales.

The Sky Blues have reached one-third of the 6,000 target with three weeks left of the Early Bird period which ends on June 30, and Mowbray – who signed a two-year deal in May – urged more fans to take advantage of one of the lowest priced Season Tickets in League One.

He said: “I’m delighted that our supporters are starting to feel positive about next season already.

“I’ve been told that we’re pushing up towards the halfway stage in our target for 6,000 Season Tickets and we are grateful to those fans who have already signed up.

“Naturally, we want to push up closer to our target as soon as we can and I genuinely believe it’s going to be a team effort next season, with our supporters playing a big part for us.

“The more Season Tickets we can sell the better and we’ve also had some very positive news around sponsorships in the last few days. All of that goes into the pot which can help us put the right structure and team in place to give us the best chance of success.”

The club introduced a flat rate for Season Tickets of £249 for adults who buy in the early-bird period, which is £96 cheaper than a standard zone Season Ticket last season and equates to less than £11 per match.

There is no longer a premium zone at the Ricoh Arena as blocks 19, 20 and 21 will enjoy standard zone pricing, while the family zone is moving to blocks 23 and 24 in the East Stand.

And the club’s commitment to attracting the next generation of Coventry City fans remains firm, with Junior Sky Blues (JSBs) under the age of 12 eligible for a free Season Ticket in the family zone.

JSBs aged between 12 and 16 have seen their Season Tickets in the family zone reduced to £23, which is just £1 per game.

Concessions Season Tickets have also dropped to £191 from £230 in the standard zone last season, and that equates to just over £8 per game.

Supporters are able to buy on the web at www.ccfcshop.co.uk and they are available over the phone on 024 7699 2326 or 024 7699 2332 or in person at the CCFC Superstore until June 25.
